Abstract
Objective:To explore the effect of lamotrigine combined with fluoxetine in the treatment of depression. Methods: A total of 68 patients with depression were randomly assigned into two groups, one group treated with lamotrigine combined with fluoxetine. The other with fluoxetine alone for 8 weeks. The efficacy and side effects were evaluated with HAMD and TESS in 1,2,4,6,8 weeks after treatment. Results: There were significant difference on decreased rates of HAMD between two groups in 2,4,6,8 weeks after treatment (P0.01/P0.05). There was no difference on scores of TESS between two groups. Conclusions: Lamotrigine combined with fluoxetine had better efficacy with good tolerance.
