Abstract

OBJECTIVE To approach the distribution characteristic and drug resistance status in pathogens from infected urinary tract in senile patients and offer the experimental evidence for clinically reasonable use of antibiotics.METHODS A total of 209 strains from infected urinary tract were isolated and identified by routine methods according to the National Clinical Laboratory Operation Rules.Drug susceptibility testing was performed by K-B methods recommended by CLSI.RESULTS Among 209 strains of pathogens,Escherichia coli accounted for 60.3%,ranking the first.Pseudomonas aeruginosa ranked the second, accounting for 11.0%.Enterococci ranked the third, accounting for 8.6%.Except vancomycin and teicoplanin sensitivie Gram-positive coccus and imipenem and meropenem sensitive Gram-negative bacilli, the pathogens from infected urinary tract were resistant to commonly used antibiotics in different degrees.CONCLUSION The drug resistance in pathogens from infected urinary tract should not be ignored. The monitoring and controlling of the drug resistance should be strictly strengthened.
