New Interpretation of the Qing of the Inner Chapters of Chuang Tsu

Abstract

What is actually contained in the Inner Chapters of Chuang Tsu is the profound and meaningful term - Qing. Considering the background of the age of Chuang Tsu and following his philosophizing way, we can clarify a variety of biases from the various understandings about the Qing, make a comprehensive and reasonable interpretation. The meaning of Qing includes both situation and feeling. Chuang Tsu's feeling-world holds: common emotion and natural feeling of life(tian qing),real feeling with sensibility(li qing), sentiment of the whole world and life-substance (zhi qing).
