Multiple interpretations on Xing qing and Qing wei in the history of the Yi-ology

The Dao of Yi is profound and all-embracing. Yet each Yi-ologist holds his own views on Zhouyi and tries to interpret it thoroughly. Since the Han dynasty (206 B. C.-220 A. D. ), there have been incalculable works interpreting , annotating and commenting on this ancient classic. Through illustrating examples and analyzing multiple interpretations on the two categories of Xing qing (lit. nature emotion) and Qing wei (truth falsehood) in various dynasties,this paper attempts to reveal the broad interpretative space conceived in the text of Zhouyi and multi-dimensional hermeneutic visions emanating in the history of the Yi-ology.
