Research of Correlation between Serum Bilirubin Level and Acute Cerebral Infarction

Objective To evaluate the association of the serum level of total bilirubin,direct bilirubin and indirect bilirubin and acute cerebral infarction. Methods 57 cases of acute cerebral infarction inpatients of our hospital were set as cerebral infarction group,of which 38 cases were male,19 cases were women and 22 healthy people in our hospital physical check-up center as control group,of which 11 cases were male,11 cases were female,they were selected from October 2012 to July 2013. All subjects were drawn vein blood after fasting 12 hours. Serum concentration of total bilirubin,direct bilirubin and indirect bilirubin were measured by automatic biochemical analyzer. Results ①The differences of the two groups about age,sex ratio,hypertension and diabetes were not statistically significant( P 0. 05); ②The serum level of total bilirubin,direct bilirubin and indirect bilirubin of acute cerebral infarction group were found significantly lower than those of the control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion Low level of total bilirubin,direct bilirubin and indirect bilirubin may play a very important role in the occurrence and development of acute cerebral infarction.
