Abstract
Objective: To investigate the curative effect of traditional Chinese medicine therapy combined with sodium hyaluronate on knee osteoarthritis. Methods: 72 cases of knee osteoarthritis patients were selected from March 2012 to June 2013 in our hospital and were randomly divided into two groups,36 cases in each group. The experiment group adopted the therapy of traditional Chinese medicine combined with sodium hyaluronate and the control group only was treated with sodium hyaluronate. We observed the clinical efficacy and evaluated the function of knee joint and treatment satisfaction. Results: The total effective rate of experimental group was 94. 4%,higher than that of the control group( 66. 7%) and the difference was statistically significant( P 0. 05). After treatment, two groups' knee scores were decreased and the experimental group's decreased more significantly than that of the control group and the difference was significant( P 0. 05). The experimental group's treatment satisfaction rate was91. 7%,higher than that of the control group( 63. 9%) and there was statistically significant difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion:The curative effect is remarkable of Chinese medicine therapy combined with sodium hyaluronateon on knee osteoarthritis. It can significantly improve the knee joint function of patients and increase patients' satisfaction and improve the quality of patients life and treatment compliance.
