Abstract
The Chinese teaching lies in the important position in the education on the ethnic students in Xinjiang and therefore the innovation of the Chinese course is urgent so as to improve the teaching quality. Chinese language, to the ethnic students who know little about it, is a wholly new language, and so Kailov's educational theory which emphasizes the cognitive nature and classroom teaching is suitable for such teaching. The paper employs Kailov's educational theory as the guidance and takes the Chinese Intensive Reading course as a case study to discuss the innovation of fundamental courses.
