Retrospection on Economic Relationship of Cities along the Yangtze River——Taking Wuhu and Shanghai as Examples(1877-1937)

After its opening-up in 1877,Wuhu has been keeping an intense relationship with Shanghai in fields of trade,transportation and finance,which promoted Wuhu to be one of the most important ports along the Yangtze River.The long economic relationship between Wuhu and Shanghai has reflected the economic transactions between the two cities,and has served as justifications for Wuhu to be included in the Yangtze River Delta.Only in this way can the Yangtze River Delta be extended,and it can also be regarded as an example of the extension or economic relationship within the Yangtze River Delta.
