Abstract
In modern times, the Wuhu port maintained a tight connection with Shanghai on foreign trade, transportation, finance and information, which reflected the history of economic collaboration between Wuhu and the Yangtze River Delta. With the change of economic geography pattern after liberation, especially the new features of the Yangtze River Delta's economic development at present, the prerequisite and reasonable path for Wuhu integrating into the Yangtze River Delta is integration with the Nanjing metropolitan area.Utilizing the useful conditions fully and making effective measures,Wuhu's merging into the Nanjing metropolitan area will be optimistic, ultimately achieving the goal of integrating with the Yangtze River Delta.
