Abstract

The development of higher education is closely related with the rise and fall of a country.The 21st century is an era of knowledge and information.The development of each country in the world depends on high level of knowledge and high-quality citizens to a great extent,and needs continuous development of higher education to undertake this responsibility.The period from 1949 to 1956,witnesses the initial development of China's higher education.The achievements and problems of this stage have exerted influenced on the status quo and future development of our contemporary higher education.To study the development of China's higher educational status quo and continuously push forward China's reform of higher education,it is necessary to explore the development of the initial stage of China's higher education,and to reflect on the changes in its system.
