Abstract
Multicultural education is an idea of western ethnic education and has gong through five main stages on which special researches have been made by western scholars.A comparative study on western multicultural education and the development of ethnic education in our country can enable us to find out their differences and similarities and gain helpful inspirations for the development of ethnic education in our country.
