Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effect of nursing intervention on negative emotional response in cancer patients. Methods 58 cancer patients were divided into 2 groups:30 patients in the intervention group and 28 in the control group. The intervention group was given comprehensive nursing intervention in addition to the clinical treatment, and the control group was given only clinical treatment. Six weeks later, the intervention was evaluated by using Self-rating Anxiety Scale ( SAS) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) ,and compared with the control group. Results The scores of SAS and SDS in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion Nursing intervention is an effective method to improve psychological state of cancer patients.
