Abstract

Objective To study the effects of cognitive-behavioral nursing intervention on improving the anxiety and depression of patients after breast cancer surgery. Methods 60 patients with breast cancer were randomly divided into the intervention group and the control group with 30 patients in each group respectively. The control group received conventional nursing, while the intervention group received cognitive-behavioral nursing intervention for 4 weeks on the basis of the control group. Before and after the intervention,self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS) and self-rating symptom scale(SCL-90) were used as the evaluation tools. Results After cognitive-behavioral nursing intervention, the SAS,SDS,SCL-9 scores all significantly lowered than before intervention in the intervention group(P 0.05);while compared with the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P 0.05).Conclusion Cognitive-behavioral nursing intervention can significantly improve the anxiety and depression of patients after breast cancer surgery, improve patients' psychological health and their quality of life, which has good clinical value.
