Abstract
Aim To improve the diagnosis and treatment of angiomyolipoma(AML).Method The clinical data of 29 patients with AML were retrospectively analysed from January 1995 to February 2004.Results The positive diagnosis rate of B Ultrasonography(BUS) was 65%(13/20) and CT was 70%(14/20).AML encleation were performed in 9 patients, partial nephrectomy in 4,AML encleation + partial nephrectomy in 2 cases of bilateral AML,nephrectomy in 10,radical nephrectomy in 1 and follow-up in 3.Conclusions BUS and CT scan were the mostly useful method for diagnosis of AML.A nephron-sparing surgery approach should be considered according to AML size and location.
