Abstract
Objective To observe the characteristics of the heart rate turbulence(HRT) in patients with congestive heart failure(CHF),and the therapeutic effect of bisoprolol on HRT in patients with CHF.Methods 58 Patients with CHF(CHF Group) and 41 persons with premature ventricular beats(Group C) were investigated in this study, turbulence onset(TO)and turbulence slope(TS)were analyzed and compared between the two groups.Patients in the CHF group were randomly divided into Bisoprolol treatment group(Group A) and control group(Group B),Group A added Bisoprolol on the basic of conventional treatment. All patients with CHF were examined by ambulatory electrocardiogram monitoring for twenty-four hours after treatment 4 weeks. Results TO were 0 in Group C and0 in CHF Group.TS was higher in Group C than that of the CHF Group.TO decreased and TS increased respectively after oral administration of bisoprolol for 4 weeks in the CHF group, and there was a significant difference between Group A and Group B(P0.05).Conclusion HRT is significantly weakened in CHF patients;Bisoprolol can improve HRT and cardiac function, and reduce the incidence of malignant ventricular arrhythmias in patients with CHF.
