Analysis and countermeasures on 3056 prescriptions with irrational drug use in emergency department

Objective To analyze the phenomenon of irrational drug use in prescriptions in emergency depart-ment,and make countermeasures.Methods The prescriptions with irrational drug use in emergency department of Xu-anwu Hospital in 2010 were analyzed statistically.Results The irrational drug use prescriptions accounted for 1.07%,and mainly reflected in natural projects,skin test,specifications dosage forms,usage and dosage,prescription choice,in-teraction,discrepancies of diagnosis and drug use,contraindications,etc.Conclusion Pharmacists can provide betterpharmaceutical service for clinicians and patients by checking prescription,and promote the rational drug use in emer-gency department.
