Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of systematic respiratory functional training on the postoperative respiratory function of elderly lung cancer patients. Methods 60 conveniently sampled elderly patients with lung cancer were evenly randomized into observation and control groups. Those in the control were given routine nursing and those in the observation group were intervened with one-to-one systematic respiratory functional training from the second day after administration to the seventh day after operation. Results The score on spontaneous respiratory dysfunction from the third to the seventh day in the observation group was decreased more than in the control group(P0.05).The indexes at VC%,FVC% and FEV1% from the third and the seventh day in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Systematic respiratory functional training may improve the postoperative respiratory function of elderly lung cancer patients, increase postoperative arterial oxygen pressure, but pose no influence on postoperative arterial carbon dioxide pressure.
