Abstract
Objective: To study the condition influenced on the growth of callus of compothecine acuminata decaisne and the production of camptothecin. Method: Based on the various culture medium used in inducing and sub-cuhure of camptotheca callus, cells were cultivated in suspension, the embryoid was differentiated and thin-layer chromatogram was applied to detect the camptothecin. Results: The most suitable culture medium was B_5, and the additional growth regulators were 1.0 mg·L~(-1) NAA and KT 0.1 mg·L~(-1). Conclusion: There was correlation between the embryoid differentiated by tissue cuture and the biosynthesis of camptothecin.
