Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of transplanted mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) on the development of hepatic fibrogenesis in rats, and explore the best transplanting period. Methods SD rat mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs) were isolated by adherent culture, and the tail vein injection of 1×106MSCs was given at the first 6 weeks and 10 weeks of Cirrhosis modeling. At 4 week after MSC transplantation, the survival state was evaluated, the liver functions(ALB.ALT.TBIL.)were detected, and the liver HE staining was carried out in the transplant group and control group. Results The rat liver function improved noticeably after MSC transplantation, with a significant difference between the transplant group and control group. Conclusion MSCs transplantation can improve the biochemical characteristics of rat peripheral blood and liver histological structure, and the transplantation at the early stage of liver fibrosis may have a better result.
