Abstract
Objective: To research the components and their relative amount of oil from Annonasquamosa seed. Methods: Petroleum ether was used to extract oils from A. squamosa seed. The components and their relative amount of methyl esterification of the oils was analyzed by GC-MS. Results: The yield of the oil from A. squamosa seed was 8. 27%. The major chemical constituents of the oil were arepalmitic acid( 12. 5%),linoleic acid( 13. 2%),oleic acid( 24. 3%),stearic acid( 16. 3%) and elaidic acid( 12. 8%). Conclusion: A. squamosa seed oil was rich in unsaturated fatty acid with the relative content of 58. 2%.
