Analysis of fatty acid compositions of rubber seed oil by GC

Using the capillary gas chromatography,the authors determined the seed oil content,fatty acid components and quantity of Rubber seed in Hainan province.The experimental results showed that rubber seed oil content amounted to 55% and the major contituents of the fatty acid which were analyzed by areanomalization were myristic acid 0.1%,palmitic acid 8.8%,palmitoleic acid 0.3%,stearic acid 7.9%,oleic acid 25%,linoleic acid 39%,linolenic acid 18%,arachic acid 0.3%.The contents of unsaturated fatty acids were 82.3%.
