Clinical distribution and resistance analysis of 296 strain pseudomonas aeruginosa

Abstract

Objective Io provide the basis for infection control and rational drug use in hospitals by analysis of 296 clinical isolates of Pseudomonas aeruginosa.Methods The clinical distribution and antimicrobial drug resistance of 296 strains Pseudomonas aeruginosa detached in Fengtian Hospital affiliated to Shenyang Medical College from 2010-01-01-2010-12-01 were analysed by retrospective study.Results 296 isolated strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were mainly from the respiratory tract specimens,accounting for 74.0%,and mainly in respiratory department,ICU and neurosurgery departments,accounting for 52.7%;the resistance rate of cefoperazone/sulbactam was the lowest 9.1% and piperacillin/tazobactam 12.2%,followed by levofloxacin 17.2%,polymyxin B20.9%.Conclusion Pseudomonas aeruginosa is a common clinical pathogenic bacteria sensitive to piperacillin/tazobactam and cefoperazone/sulbactam,but the overall resistance rate is still high.It should choose a single or several drugs in combination according to the the susceptibility results.
