Abstract
Objective:To evaluate the situation and tendency of the use of narcotic analgesics in the No.4 Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University.Methods: The varieties,cost,quantity and frequency of drug usage(DDDs) of narcotic analgesics used in this hospital during 2005-2007 were counted up and analyzd.Results: The total consumption quantity of narcotic analgesics tended to decrease year by year,while the consumption of remifentanil citrate injection showed a year-by-year increase tendency.Morphine injection used against cancer pain had high DDDs and low dosage.Conclusion: The narcotic analgesics are rationally used in combined anesthesia and against postoperative pain in this hospital.However,their use against cancer pain still has defect and needs to be improved.
