Quality Assessment of Dongyuan Sewage Outfall in Longhai City and Adjacent Sea Area

An investigation was conducted on the quality of environment factor of Dongyuan sewage outfall in Longhai City which is located at the lower reach of Jiulong River.The results showed that the environment quality of the sea area was affected by the sewage outfall and the contents of inorganic nitrogen and phosphate in sea water exceeded the fourth and third degree of the water quality standard,while some waters were cutrophicated.There was pollution at different degrees caused by some chemicals.According to the actual demand of controlling total mass of pollutants discharge,this paper studied the environment factors of Dongyuan sewage outfall in Longhai City and the adjacent sea area,especially the problems of marine ecological environment,such as water quality deterioration,red tide occurrence and ecosystem unbalance,which are generally concerned today.
