Abstract
The pollution source at sea such as port, shipping and mariculture were monitored in 1998. The result shown that, the outflow discharge of oils from port and shipping was 148.8t, and far exceeded that from industrial sewage. The DIN and DIP outflow discharges from mariculture were 538.4t and 200.4t, respectiveliy. Especially, DIP exceeded that from the domestic seage and was close to that from urban sewage. The pollution load ratio of pollution source on the sea was 12.3%, exceeded that of industrial sewage. Therefore, the pollution source at the sea was a key way not to be ignored for environmental quality in the sea area of Xiamen.
