Abstract

The Preface to MAO Poetryrediscovered the lyrical nature of poetry, laying the theoreticalfoundation for the poetic thoughts, at the same time highlighting the political characteristics of poetry to realizethe unification of politics and art, thus established political principles for poetic explanation and poetic cre-ation. The Han Confucian's poetic thoughts program had produced a far-reaching impact on later literature.
