Abstract

Humanity embodied in is the core of Zhao Zhixin's poetic thought.While approving the Confucian opinion of poetry coming from emotions,he firmly advocated that poetry has its own rites,stressing the stipulation of poetic truth.The parallel of his poetics and the theory of spirit and tone is the return and development of Confucian poetic thoughts and the unusual voice in the prosperous period during the reign of emperors Kangxi and Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty.
