Abstract
A strain of B-25 producing high yield of chitinase was screened and the effects of carbon source,nitrogen source,temperature and pH on chitinase production were investigated in this study.The optimal carbon source and nitrogen source were mannitol and peptone,respectively.Under these conditions,chitinase activity reached 0.43 U/ml,which was increasd by 4.9 folds compared with that of parent strain B-25.
