Exploration about Flood Risk Management in China

Based on the existing of the problem of floods prevention at present in China,this paper puts forward a model of flood risk management by introducing the concept of the risk management to the flood work.Then it discusses flood risk identification,flood risk assessment,flood risk control and flood risk decision-making and focuses on an analysis of the issues of construction of the flood insurance and application of modern technology in flood warning system.Finally it gives the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions to the government to implement flood risk management to provide the scientific basis in order to achieve the purpose of true sense of the harmony between the human and the water and coordinated development between the social and the economic.
