Abstract

This paper describes a new species of the genus Thagria , from Guizhou province, China. The type, specimens are deposited in the Institute of Entomology, Guizhou University, China. Thagria vastestyla Wang et Li, sp. nov. (Figs 1-6). Body length (incl. tegm.): ♂8.0mm,♀9.1mm. This species is closely related to Thagria emeiensis Zhang, but is distinguished from the latter by the body bigger; vertex without pale orange streak of T shape; the apex area expanded at style. Holotype ♂, paratype 1♂, Xishui (28°20′N, 106°12′E), Guizhou province, China, 24-V-2000, coll. Li Zizhong.
