The Exploration and Practice in Fostering Cross-Cultural Communication Ability in College Foreign Language Teaching

Abstract

Cross-cultural communication ability is a vital factor in language use proficiency and communicative effect in communication settings with foreigners.Problems existing in the cultivation of cross-cultural communication ability in TEFL are probed through questionnaires and interviews oriented to college English teachers.Corresponding suggestions are made in response to the reality of teaching in such aspects as educational policy adjustment,textbook development and construction, teachers' self-improvement in quality,and change of teaching mode.
