Abstract
By means of quantitative measurements, this article illustrated agglomeration level and trends of Chinese cultural industry in temporal and spatial terms, and revealed the influence factors of spatial agglomeration of cultural industry. The findings showed that Chinese cultural industry has been witnessing a high degree of agglomeration as a whole, with a remarkable difference between industries. The innovative industries with high demands for talented personnel, knowledge and technology concentrate spatially on a high level, and increasingly moving to coastal regions,in contrast, industries mainly serving local citizens concentrate on a relatively low level with a discrete distribution.Statistical results showed that the significant influence factors of spatial agglomeration of Chinese cultural industries include scale economies, labor quality and cost, industrial policies, cultural environment and market accessibility,in order of importance, with huge disparities between industries.
