The paper measured the agglomeration level of China's cultural industry from 2007 to 2011 by applying EG index and CR index. The characteristic and tendency of cultural industry agglomeration have been researched by theoretical analysis and empirical verify from the perspectives of geographical area and industry on the basis of the economic analysis of cultural industry. The results indicate that source-market effect is an important source of centripetal force in the process of cultural industry agglomeration. The agglomeration of cultural industry will bring further about the imbalance of regional economic development because of knowledge spillovers, elements sharing and other factors.
