Study on anxiety and depression status and the influential factors in patients with cholecystectomy

Abstract

Objective To investigate the anxiety and depression status and its influential factors in patients with cholecystectomy.Methods The clinical data of fifty-six patients with cholecystectomy who were treated in the department of hepatobiliary surgery in our hospital from August 2010 to August 2012 were collected,they were surveyed by the self-made general data questionnaire,Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self-Rating depression Scale(SDS),the social support rating scale(SSRS),Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI)and SF-36 measure scale.Results The mean scores of anxiety and depression were(54.57±3.28)and(56.82±3.26),the overall prevalence of anxiety and depression was 48.21% and 57.14% in patients with cholecystectomy,respectively.Multivariate logistic analysis indicated that venerable age had a risk effect on depression,stressful work,the postoperative complications and sleep problems were risk factor for anxiety and depression,but culture degree and high scores of the social support rating scale had a protective effect on anxiety and depression.Conclusion The anxiety and depression is common in patients with cholecystectomy and affected by many factors,we should be take appropriate preventive measures in accordance with the patient's specific situation to reduce the occurrence of anxiety and depression in patients with cholecystectomy.
