An Analysis on Consumption Structures of Rural Residents in Liaoning Province and The Changing Tendency

With the rapid development of rural economic, to analyze the consumption characteristics and predict the future consumption structures of rural residents is of great significance to enlarge home demand and stimulate economic development. This paper analyses the consumption characteristics and predictes the development tendency of consumption structures of rural residents in Liaoning province. Since the reform and opening-up, the consumption structures of rural residents have increasingly improved, the proportion of essentials consumption in living consumption of rural residents is universally decreasing while those of development consumption and entertainment consumption are continually increasing, But the share of living consumption is lower while that of savings and productive consumption is comparatively higher. With the increase of income, the consumption structure will be going up gradually in the future five years when rural residents will pay more attention to the improvement of quality rather than the expansion of quantity. Foods, clothes and such super and endurable consumption goods as family electronic appliance will be the consumption center of the rural residents in the future.
