Influence of Bushen Huayu decotion combined with diane-35 on MCP-1 level and blood lipids of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome

Objective To observe the clinical effect of Bushen Huayu decoction combined with diane-35 on the treatment of patients with polycystic ovary syndrome( PCOS) and explore its influence on serum MCP-1 level and blood lipids. Methods 55 patients with PCOS were randomly divided into the control group( n = 27,treated with diane-35) and observation group( n = 28,treated with Bushen Huayu decoction and diane-35). Levels of MCP-l,TC,TG and HDL-C before and after treatment were observed and compared,and the clinical efficacy and adverse reactions were observed as well. Results Total effective rate of observation group was 82. 1%,which was significantly higher than 66. 7% of control group( P 0. 05). Levels of serum MCP-1,TC,TG decreased significantly after treatment in both groups( P 0. 05),while HDL-C increased significantly( P 0. 05). Improvement of all the indexes in the observation group were significantly better than those of control group( P 0. 05). No severe adverse reactions were observed in both groups. Conclusion Bushen Huayu decoction combined with diane-35 can effectively inhabit the secretion of MCP-1 and reduce blood lipid in patients with PCOS.
