Clinical observation of "Bushen Huoxue Decoction" in treating polycystic ovary syndrome of kidney deficiency and blood stasis

Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Bushen Huoxue Decoction in the treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS) of kidney deficiency and blood stasis.Methods Fifty-eight subjects were randomly divided into two groups: treatment group in which 30 cases were treated with Bushen Huoxue Decoction and control group in which 28 cases were treated with diane-35,with a course of three months.The levels of serum LH,FSH,E2,PRL,P and T and ovary B-ultrasound were observed before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the total effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 93.3% and 78.6% respectively,with a statistical significance between the two groups(P0.05).In the treatment group and control group,the levels of LH,LH/FSH and T were of significant differences between before and after treatment(P0.05);and statistical significances were found in the levels of FSH,P,PRL and E2 after the treatment(P0.05).After treatment,the ovary number of follicles and ovarian volume were significantly reduced(P0.05),and the treatment group was better than the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Bushen Huoxue Decoction is effective for PCOS of kidney deficiency and blood stasis by reducing the contents of LH and T,and improving ovarian conditions.
