Abstract
Objective:To explore the relationship between vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and its soluble receptor (sFlt-1) in serum and preeclampsia,establish a useful method to evaluate and diagnose preeclampsia.Methods:The levels of VEGF and sFlt-1 in healthy pregnant women (control group) in third trimester and preeclampsia patients and eclampsia patients were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA),the relationship between the levels of VEGF and sFlt-1 and preeclampsia was analysed.Results:The level of VEGF in preeclampsia patients was significantly lower than that in control group,while the level of sFlt-1 reversed.The level of VEGF decreased and the level of Flt-1 increased with the development of preeclampsia.Conclusion:The down regulation of VEGF and up regulation of sFlt-1 are related to the pathogenesis and prognosis of preeclampsia,which is a useful diagnostic marker of preeclampsia.
