Abstract

This article reviews constructional grammar's origin,developing history,research paradigm and influence on Chinese linguistic research.It also touches on the interaction between constructional grammar and role and reference grammar,the mainstream cognitive grammar and generative grammar,points out that stratificational investigation should be applied to the study of constructions.
