Abstract

Objective To study the eficacy and safety of levofloxacin and ceftriaxone in the treatment of senile pneumonia. Methods 110 patients with senile pneumonia were randomly divided into two groups:55 in treatment group(the patients were treated with levofloxacin and ceftriaxone);55 in control group(the patients were treated with ceftriaxone). Both groups were treated for 7-9 days.Eficacy and safety of levofloxacin and ceftriaxone in the treatment were observed. Results The overall eficacy was 96.36% for the treatment group and 80.00% for the control group.Between the two groups there were significant ditterences(P0.05);The rates of the side effects between the two groups has no significant diferences(P0.05).Conclusion Levofloxacin combined with ceftriaxone in the treatment of senile pneumonia could obviously improve clinical efficacy, shorten the disease's develop course, and have a good clinical prospect.
