The Main Influence Factors on the Development of Diapause Pupae of Papilio memnon

[Objective]The research aimed to study the main factors affected on the development of Papilio memnon diapause pupae.[Method]The effects of three factors of development temperature,period of light,low temperature in artificial climate-chest on the development of P.memnon diapause pupae were studied with orthogonal design.[Result] The R2 value of the three factors of diapause pupae were 1 621.3,143.2 and 11.6,respectively.The temperature of climate-chest was the first influence factor which affected the development of the diapause pupae under natural development to the last ten days of December.Period of light was the second factor,and low temperature of diapause pupae was the third factor which affected the development of the diapause pupae distinctly.[Conclusion]The three factors had different effects on the development of diapause pupae in different development stages.
