The clinical analysis of trabeculectomy failure with compound trabeculectomy

Abstract

Objective To review the therapeutic efficacy of treating trabeculectomy failure with compound trabeculectomy. Methods 58 eyes(40 cases) of trabeculectomy failure were treated with compound trabeculectomy. Results The follow-up was 15～26 months.The mean IOP after operation was(10.21±4.12)mmHG,significantly lower than the IOP preoperatively(36.62±9.02) mmHg(P0.05).Out of 58 eyes receiving reoperation,51 eyes got success,a rate of 87.93%.52 eyes had functioning blebs. Conclusion It is safe and effective of treating trabeculectomy failure with compound trabeculectomy.
