A Positive Research on the Consumption Structure of Urban Residents in Sichuan Province

Abstract
The article utilizes the extensive linear expenditure system(ELES) to research the consumption structure of Sichuan urban residents quantitatively.The author illustrates the total characteristics,influential factors and tendency through basic consumption expenditure,marginal propensity of comsumption and elastic analysis,and forecasts the demand to main commodities in 2005.And finally,the relevant suggestions are put forward to promote the consumption structure.
