Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effects of acupuncture combined with exercise rehabilitation on motor function and activity of daily living of hemiplegia patients after stroke. Methods: 129 cases were randomly divided into 2 groups,69 in observation group and 60 in control group. The patients in control group were given routine medication and exercise rehabilitation while the patients in observation group were given acupuncture based on the treatment of control group. The score of neurological deficits, distribution of muscular strength,Fugl-Meyer and BI were evaluated after treatment. Results: The score of neurological deficits, distribution of muscular strength,Fugl-Meyer and BI of two groups had no significant differences compared with the score before treatment(P 0.05). The score of neurological deficits,Fugl-Meyer and BI of two groups after treatment had significant differences compared with the score before treatment(P 0.05). And the score of observation group had more effects than that in control group(P 0.05). Conclusion: The therapeutic of exercise rehabilitation or acupuncture combined with exercise rehabilitation could improve the motor function and activity of daily living of hemiplegia patients. The therapeutic of acupuncture combined with exercise rehabilitation has better effects on patients than exercise rehabilitation treatment only.
