Abstract
The study on the reducing browning of callus induced from Aloe saponaria Haw indicated that: pretreatment before inoculation was useful for reducing callus browning.Soaking explants in pvp(2 g/L)15 min showed distinct effect;darkness culture reduced browning greatly, and benefited callus's growth;media with addition of antioxidant or sorbent showed different effects, antioxidant was better than sorbent. On the basis of fresh callus weight acquiring, the browning restraining ability was as follows: L-Glutamine(5 mg/L)AgNO3(15 mg/L) Vc(2 mg/L) PVP(0.5 mg/L) Citric acid(5 mg/L) Na2S2O3(10 mg/L) blank Ac(10 mg/L).
