THREE NEW SPECIES OF CARINATA (HOMOPTERA:CICADELLIDAE:EVACANTHINAE) FROM CHINA

In this paper three new species of the genus Carinata are described. All the type specimens are deposited in Guizhou Agricultural College.1. Carinata branchera, sp. nov. (Fig. 1) Length (incl. teg.):♂:5.5 mm～5.8 mm,♀:6.3 mm～6.5 mm.This species is similar to Carinata ganga Li et Wang in appearance and colour pattern, but it is distinguished from the latter by the presence of on a black spot each side of frontoclypeus of male, aedeagus tubelike and with four procosses at apex, pygofer side with caudoventral process.Holotype ♂,paratypes 9♂♂,15♀♀,Longzhou, Guangxi, 30～31-Ⅴ-1997, coll. by Yang Maofa and Wang Lianmin.2. Carinata recurvana, sp. nov. (Fig.2)Length (incl. teg.): ♂:5.8 mm～6.0 mm,♀:6.2 mm～6.5mm.The new species is somewhat allied to Carinata flavida Li et Wang in appearance and colour, but it is distinguished from the latter by its vertex and pronotum lacking black spots, pygofer with a curved and smooth process on ventral margin, style tubelike.Holotype♂,paratypes 1♂2♀♀,Libo, Guizhou, 24-Ⅷ-1996, coll. by Yang M.F.3. Carinata unipuncta, sp. nov. (Fig. 3)Length (incl. teg.): ♂:6.0 mm～6.2 mm,♀:6.3 mm～6.5 mm.This species is related to Carinata albusa Li et Wang in appearance and colour, but it differs from the latter in tegmen with black spots, pygofer processes with teeth at apex, and aedeagus with two processes near apex.Holotype ♂,paratypes 5♂♂,1♀, Libo, Guizhou, 24-Ⅷ-1996, coll. by Yang M.F.
