Abstract

[Objective]The aim was to evaluate coastal wetland ecosystem service value of Beihai city comprehensively and accurately,and to provide a scientific basis for the development,utilization and policy formulation of coastal wetlands.[Method]Using the evaluation framework system constructed to evaluate coastal wetland ecosystem service value and latest satellite remote sensing data,and combined with domestic and international mature evaluation theory and evaluation methods of wetlands,the value of wetland ecosystem service was evaluated comprehensively in Beihai City.[Result]The total value of coastal wetland ecosystem services of Beihai City was about 3.22 billion yuan in 2009,of which the value of material products and ecological services was about 1.085 billion yuan and 2.135 billion yuan respectively,and the value composition of ecosystem services was analyzed.[Conclusion]Monetary measurement of wetland ecosystems not only can improve the human's correct understanding to coastal wetland ecosystems,but also provide a scientific basis for the policies of the development,utilization and protection of wetland resources.
