Evaluation and analysis on service value of coastal wetland ecosystem in Guangxi

Evaluating the value of coastal wetlands ecosystem services is basis and foundation of protection and rational development and use of wetlands and the development of wetland compensation policy.Based on reference to classification of wetland ecosystem services,evaluation system of coastal wetland ecosystem service of Guangxi was built.International and domestic mature evaluation theory and methods of wetland ecosystem service value and the latest remote sensing interpretation data were used to evaluate and analyze the value of coastal wetland ecosystem service in 2001 and 2009 in Guangxi.The results indicate that the total value of coastal wetland ecosystem services of Guangxi is about 50.670 billion yuan in 2001 and 32.836 billion yuan in 2009.The value of wetland ecosystem services dropped 17.834 billion yuan from 2001 to 2009,and the percentage is 35.20%.The reason of decline in the value of wetland ecosystem services is mainly due to a significant reduction in wetland area.The area reduced from 333 3346 hm2 in 2001 to 261 018.11 hm2 in 2009,and the reduction percentage is about 21.70%.
