The effect observation of escitalopram in anxiety disorder and depression disorder

Objective To observe the effect of escitalopram in anxiety disorder and depression disorder.Methods 100 cases patients with anxiety disorder and depression disorder[anxiety disorder group(50 cases) and depression disorder group(50 cases)] were given escitalopram 6 weeks of open treatment,the dose of 10~15mg/d.After treatment,compared efficacy and the scores of hamilton depression rating scale(HAMD) and hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA) of two groups,and observed the adverse reaction.Results The total effective rate of anxiety disorder group was 79.6%,the total effective rate of depression disorder group was 82.0%,there was no significant difference between two groups(P0.05).After treatment,HAMD,HAMA scores of two groups were improved(P0.01);And between two groups before and after treatment,the difference of HAMD,HAMA scores were not statistically significant(P0.05).The incidence of adverse reaction of two groups was no significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion Escitalopram has the similar effects on both anxiety disorder and depression disorder.It can be used as an anti-anxiety drug.
