Results of panthogenic sentinel monitoring of HFMD in Yunfu City in 2010

Abstract

Objective To analyze the pathogenic sentinel moitoring of hand-foot-mouth disease(HFMD) from in Yunfu city in 2010.Method Totally 73 sample of clinical HFMD feces samples were collected from monitor hospital.Nucleic acids of three type of viruses of enterovirus 71(EV71),Coxsackie virus A16(CA16) and other enterovirus were detected by Real-time PCR method.Results There 42 HFMD samples were tested positive for enterovirus with a positive rate of 57.5%.The positive detectable rate of EV71,CA16,Not EV71 or CA16 were 71.4%、7.1%、21.4%respectively.Three type enterovirus were interchanged in 2010.The peak of viruses detection was from April to June.The ratio of male cases to female case of HFMD was 1.92:1.High positive rate was noticed in infants under age of 4 years.Conclusion The incidence peak of HFMD was observed during May-June in Yunfun in 2010..Most reported cases were the infants less than 4 years old.The majority of reported cases were infected with EV71.
